Tin Roost in North Liberty is looking for part-time Food Runners to join our Front of House team!

We're looking for dependable, energetic team members who enjoy staying active, working alongside others, and providing great guest service. As a Food Runner, you'll help connect the kitchen and dining room by delivering food, supporting the service team, and keeping things running smoothly during busy shifts.

Tin Roost is a locally owned restaurant serving American favorites made in our scratch kitchen. With a spacious dining room, large outdoor patio, and welcoming atmosphere, we're a busy restaurant where teamwork and great service make all the difference.

Fully trained Food Runners earn $8.10 per hour plus tips. Tips are distributed the following morning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food to tables promptly and accurately while ensuring proper presentation
• Communicate with kitchen and service staff to keep orders moving efficiently
• Clear, clean, and reset tables for incoming guests
• Assist servers and other team members during busy periods
• Keep dining areas, service stations, and restrooms clean and organized
• Greet guests and provide friendly, helpful service
• Support the host stand with seating guests and distributing menus
• Help maintain the waitlist and communicate estimated wait times
• Assist with table assignments and guest seating flow
• Answer phone calls and assist with reservations and takeout orders as needed
• Complete opening, closing, and side work responsibilities
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 pounds
• Comfortable standing, walking, and staying active throughout a shift
• Friendly, dependable, and able to communicate effectively
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to help wherever needed
• Ability to stay organized and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Previous restaurant or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
• Basic knowledge of food handling and safety practices is helpful
