At Maverick Power, we don’t just build power distribution solutions—we redefine industry standards. Recognized on the 2025 Inc. 5000 list as #16 in the U.S., #2 in Manufacturing, and #1 in Texas, we are committed to driving innovation, quality, and speed. With multiple manufacturing facilities across North Texas and Phoenix, we are expanding rapidly and looking for top talent to grow with us If you are ready to be part of a high-energy, solutions-driven team where your work makes an impact, Maverick Power is the place for you. What We Offer: Competitive Salary + Bonus Potential! Paid Time Off, 401K Matching, Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits! High-growth organization with advancement opportunities! About the Role: Under limited supervision, the Safety Specialist – Field Services provides front-line HSE support to Maverick Power’s Field Services team working on data center and other large-scale construction projects. This role focuses on: Conducting site safety walks and audits in alignment with OSHA Construction (29 CFR 1926) requirements. Delivering required and task-specific safety training to field employees in person. Liaising directly with customers, general contractors, and subcontractor safety teams to align expectations, clarify requirements, and ensure our team has the necessary PPE, training, and information to work safely and effectively. When field support needs are met or travel is not required, this position will work from one of Maverick Power’s manufacturing facilities to assist the broader safety team with program implementation, audits, and training. Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular safety walks and audits at customer construction sites to observe work practices, verify compliance with OSHA Construction standards, identify hazards, and support safe execution of field activities. Participate in pre-task planning and daily safety meetings with Maverick Power crews, general contractors, and subcontractors. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customer safety teams, general contractors, and other stakeholders on site. Serve as the primary safety liaison for field teams—ensuring site-specific safety requirements, permits, and training needs are clearly understood and communicated back to Corporate HSE. Deliver in-person safety training to field employees, including new hire orientations, required regulatory courses (e.g., LOTO, fall protection, electrical safety), and task-specific/toolbox trainings. Lead or support incident and near-miss investigations, conduct root cause analyses, develop corrective actions, and communicate lessons learned across teams. Identify, document, and follow up on unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and employee safety suggestions. Ensure timely corrective actions are implemented and verified. Exercise stop work authority when imminent danger is observed, and expedite issues promptly to the Corporate HSE Manager and Director of Field Services. Assist with the implementation of Maverick Power’s Integrated Safety System, HSE policies, and Vision Zero initiatives within the field environment. Compile safety data, photographs, and reports for audits, inspections, incidents, and compliance tracking in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. When working at a manufacturing facility, support the site safety team with daily walks, audits, training, inspections, and emergency preparedness activities. Participate in cross-functional meetings and new project kickoffs to identify and address safety concerns early in project planning. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Safety, HSE, or related field; OR minimum 4 years of equivalent safety experience in construction or field service environments. Equivalent military experience will be considered in lieu of traditional education or industry experience. OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire. Minimum of 4 years of full-time experience in a safety role supporting construction or field service work. Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA Construction standards (29 CFR 1926). Minimum of 4 years of experience conducting safety audits, hazard assessments, and incident investigations with root cause analysis and corrective action development. Experience providing in-person health & safety training to employees, contractors, and/or subcontractors. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence behavior at all levels on active construction sites. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint). Must be able to meet all company, customer, and regulatory requirements for site access and travel, including valid identification for air travel and the ability to pass required background checks or security screenings for jobsite entry. Valid U.S. driver’s license and a clean driving record that meets company vehicle insurance eligibility requirements. Ability to travel by commercial air within the United States as required. Willingness and ability to operate a company vehicle, rental vehicle, or personal vehicle (with mileage reimbursement) depending on project travel arrangements. Bonus Qualifications: Board certifications (e.g., OHST, CHST, ASP, CSP). Electrical safety training (NFPA 70E) and control of hazardous energy experience. 5 years of experience on data center construction sites or other large industrial projects. CPR, First Aid, and AED certification. Travel: Regular travel within the United States is required to support field teams on active construction projects. Travel may involve driving to regional job sites or flying on domestic commercial airlines to reach project locations in other states. Depending on location and duration, transportation may be by company vehicle, rental car, or personal vehicle (with reimbursement according to company policy). Travel is typically planned but may occasionally occur on short notice based on project needs, emergencies, or incidents. Occasional future travel to other parts of North America may be required as Maverick Power expands. Physical Requirements: Work occurs primarily on active construction sites with exposure to outdoor weather conditions year-round (heat, cold, humidity, wind, rain, etc.). Environments may include uneven terrain, unfinished surfaces, loud noise, heavy equipment traffic, dust, insects, flashing lights, and other typical jobsite conditions. Must be able to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and work at heights for extended periods. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Must have vision correctable to 20/20 and be able to wear required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, boots, gloves, etc.). When working at manufacturing facilities, environments may include indoor industrial conditions with similar physical demands. Work Environment: May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
