Previous experience or graduated from a Nursing Assistant or EMT program preferred.* BLS certification required or obtained within 3 months of hire or transfer.* Licensing: Proof of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification from an approved institution or training program preferred.* Unless otherwise indicated, one year of current experience within the last three years in a comparable job classification required* Works effectively with others, possess tact, discretion and diplomacy* Ability to work under stress and complete duties, sometimes with numerous interruptions.* Must be able to communicate information to supervisor and co- workers.* Must be familiar with equipment used to move patients and take vital signs.* Ability to understand printed health related material.* Completion of hospital based Internship which includes coursework and clinical time up to 6 weeks along with proficiencies demonstrated in competencies for phlebotomy and EKG.Samaritan is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
