Internal Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Traveler – Cambridge Healthcare Services Reports To: Facility PT / Regional Director of Therapy FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Position Summary Provides skilled PT services under the direction of a licensed PT, traveling across SNFs to support resident care and facility therapy teams. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Implements PT treatment plans, monitors resident progress, and documents outcomes. Conducts individual, group, and concurrent therapy sessions as appropriate. Travels between facilities as scheduled. Collaborates with PTs, facility staff, and interdisciplinary teams. Supports facility therapy staff and promotes best practices. Required Qualifications Licensed PTA in California Experience in SNF or post-acute care preferred Strong interpersonal and documentation skills Competencies Clinical Excellence: Demonstrates strong clinical judgment and evidence-based practice. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Resident Satisfaction Scores / Feedback Timely and Accurate Documentation Compliance Achievement of Therapy Goals and Functional Outcomes Number of Facilities Successfully Supported per Schedule Staff Feedback on Mentorship and Collaboration Participation in Quality Improvement and Professional Development Activities Adapted for PTA scope of practice: adherence to PT plans, therapy session completion, resident progress, staff collaboration Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist residents as required for patient care. Ability to safely transfer residents using appropriate techniques and equipment. Work Environment Primarily within skilled nursing facilities, with frequent travel between multiple sites.
