Registered Nurse - IMCU

Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 4 days on, 4 days off.

Assignment Duration: This is a 48-hour contract position with a commitment of 89 weeks.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills to manage patients with various critical conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, and substance abuse.
• Administer medications, including Heparin Drips, and monitor patient responses and vital signs.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Evaluate and document patient health status and progress.
• Educate patients and families on health management post-discharge.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a critical care or IMCU setting.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
• Valid RN license.
