Physician Assistant - Primary Care

This primary care practice is located in the upper Hudson Valley region of Upstate New York—two hours north of New York City and 30 minutes south of Albany. Position Summary A Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is needed to join an established primary care practice in Copake, NY. This is an outpatient‑only role within a hospital‑affiliated group practice. The incoming provider will join a supportive team consisting of one physician, one nurse practitioner, and one physician assistant. Administrative support is strong, and the practice encourages autonomy and the ability to shape your patient panel and workflow to match your practice style. Setting: Outpatient primary care office Team: 1 MD, 1 NP, 1 PA Patients per Day: To be determined Hours: Negotiable Call: Approximately 1:7, phone call only Rounding: None Start Date: Flexible; as soon as available Reason for Recruitment: Current NP transferring to another location Electronic Health Record: EPIC Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive primary care to patients across the lifespan Perform physical exams, diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions Order and interpret diagnostic tests and labs Deliver preventive care, health education, and chronic disease management Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary services Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR Participate in quality improvement and practice development initiatives Qualifications Current NYS licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant National certification (NP or PA‑C) Experience in primary care preferred; strong new graduates considered BLS certification required Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to patient‑centered care Guaranteed base salary with productivity incentives #J-18808-Ljbffr Hathaway Healthcare Staffing
