Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele, travel assignment in a hospital setting in Burlington, Vermont. Start on 10/15/2026 for a 5-week assignment with a weekly pay range of $2,390–$2,442 and no guaranteed hours. Shift is a 12-hour night schedule (3x12 Nights). The role requires floating to multiple units within the central pool as needed, including Medical Surgical and Telemetry, with potential to support additional areas. This travel temporary assignment includes full-time responsibilities at a hospital setting while providing the flexibility of a travel position.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical and Telemetry patients, including monitoring, assessment, and ongoing care documentation
- Administer prescribed medications and therapies, including IV therapy as needed, and monitor for adverse reactions
- Conduct timely and accurate charting in the electronic medical record (EPIC) and communicate changes in patient status to the care team
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans; participate in discharge planning and care coordination
- Float to units within the central pool and to areas such as hematology, oncology, orthopedics, med-surg/tele units, general surgery, neurology (and SDU), neurosurgery, ENT, and GYN, as well as ED boarders or surge areas when required
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to unit policies; participate in ongoing quality improvement and evidence-based practice
- Respond to emergencies, prioritize care, and advocate for patient and family needs; maintain professional standards and documentation

Requirements
- Licensure: RN license on file at time of submission
- Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS required; NIHSS required prior to start
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of RN experience; large trauma level 1, teaching facility experience preferred
- Specialty experience: EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years required
- Skills: Ability to float to units of like skill and ability, flexibility with scheduling, and strong critical thinking and collaboration
- Work setting: Ability to work in a hospital setting with floating responsibilities across designated units
