LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse

Work Location: UAB St.Vincent's East, Trussville Department: 6 East - Med surg Schedule: Full Time Nights, 7p to 7a Bonus: Up to $8000.00 Benefits for eligible positions: generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more What You Will Do Provide care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or physician, functioning within scope of license. Contribute to the assessment of patients and assure the well‑being of patients. Administer medications and observe patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments. Perform laboratory tests and therapeutic services. Educate patients/families about disease treatment plan including self‑care post‑discharge, holistic health needs, available resources and follow‑up care. What You Will Need Licensure: Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing. Certification: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education Graduate from an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent required. Additional Preferences No additional preferences.
