The Emergency Medicine Clinical Specialist is a valuable and integrated member of the Emergency Department's multidisciplinary team responsible for many activities that promote medication safety and timeliness, ultimately improving patient care. The pharmacist must be comfortable working with patients of all ages as well as in a fast-paced and ever-changing emergency department setting. Medical Center Health System has a 42-bed emergency department and sees over 60,000 patients annually. Located in West Texas, MCH is the only Level II trauma center serving over 17 counties in our area and was voted Best Emergency Department in Odessa multiple years in a row.
