Tax Analyst Programmer

Salary: $123,000 - 163,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or another business-related field; a masters degree in Accounting, MIS, Taxation, or an MBA is strongly preferred.
• We prefer tax-related certification such as an Enrolled Agent or CPA.
• We look for 3–7 years of income tax preparation or tax analysis experience.

• We develop requirements used to gather tax data, calculate tax scenarios, and validate tax software compliance with tax authority regulations.

• We validate tax scenarios for completeness and accuracy across the full tax experience, including products, federal and state coverage, and individual and business tax situations.
• We analyze tax data to understand customer usage and business impact, assess scope-related risks, and help design mitigation plans.
• We interact with customers and government agencies to build strong working relationships and partnerships.
• We analyze tax law changes, including moderately to highly complex tax issues.
• We clearly document requirements for changes to forms, calculations, and diagnostic messaging in specifications for software engineers.
• We gather and document Tax Code Requirements for development and quality purposes.
• We may participate in programming efforts to implement tax law content updates.
• We build and maintain relationships with internal teams that rely on tax expertise.
• We support customer inquiries by gathering insights or providing assistance.
