The Opportunity

As an auto consumer underwriter, you’ll be the operational heartbeat—partnering closely with the Underwriting Manager and our Consumer Underwriters to drive daily territory performance, sharpen pipeline execution, and keep our sales and service motions running smoothly. You’ll take on elevated targets and accountability beyond the Consumer Underwriter role, tackling complex territory maintenance, prioritizing high-impact opportunities, and shaping the rhythm of the business. This role is fully remote / WFH. The Work Itself

• Increase Dealer portfolio revenue by practicing sound underwriting judgement and upholding Ally's risk management principles
• Demonstrate market awareness, strong listening, and adaptability as you build and cultivate strong relationships with dealers
• Leverage high-touch and high-tech capabilities to negotiate contracts
• Ensure compliance with underwriting policies; elevate risk issues, and stay abreast of constant changes in policy and procedures.
• Requires flexibility in work schedule, evening hours and weekends may be required.

The Skills You Bring

Minimum Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience
• High school Diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

3G - Underwriter

• 1+ years in auto finance consumer underwriting (prime, sub-prime, and/or non-prime), or financial services is highly preferred
• Ability to perform technical based activities
• Knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
• Demonstrating technical expertise and relationships to supply to strategy and drive business results
• Familiar with the Auto Finance industry, consumer credit, trend analysis/analytics
• Excellent sales, negotiation, problem solving, and analytical skills
• Must be an independent worker with strong time leadership skills

Base Pay Range: $55,000 - $75,000 - $95,000

An individual's position in the range is determined by the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.

Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan
