Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) - Day Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts (10:45 AM - 11:15 PM).

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) with robust experience in a Level II Trauma center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scrubbing and circulating during various surgical procedures, demonstrating expertise particularly in robotics and general OR cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room setting.
• Assist with surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and high-quality care.
• Maintain a sterile environment and handle instruments appropriately.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and support staff.
• Respond to emergency situations and take corrective actions as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an OR RN; candidates with 2 years may be considered if they possess strong experience.
• Current Maryland RN license or Compact RN license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience with Da Vinci robotics and a wide range of surgical specialties including trauma, uro, ortho, plastics, neuro, and more.
• Epic EMR experience required.
