Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU/Step Down Float

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Registered Nurse to join our team as a PCU/Step Down Float. This role requires flexibility to float to various units based on institutional needs.

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, including patients from various backgrounds such as ER boarded patients, telemetry, and medical-surgical units. The nurse will support unit needs while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the PCU and other designated areas.
• Manage patient assignments and collaborate with the healthcare team to meet patient needs.
• Assist with charge nurse responsibilities in smaller units, including managing staffing and bed flow.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using EPIC charting.
• Ensure adherence to protocols and standards of care while promoting a safe and supportive environment.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Charge nurse experience is required.
• Experience working in the United States is mandatory; Canadian nursing experience is not sufficient.
• Ability to adapt to various patient populations and unit settings.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Work Schedule:

This position involves night shifts, working 4x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. The start date is as soon as possible, with additional responsibilities as needed based on unit demands.
