Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of registered MRI experience for a night shift role in a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital.

Details

• Night shift, 4x10 hours, Sunday-Thursday, 22:30-7:00 (with some 12-hour shift variations)
• MRI department with one Philips scanner
• Average caseload of 20-25 patients per 24 hours, shared departmentally rather than per tech
• Techs never work alone
• Some weekend shifts required
• No on-call requirement
• No floating to sister facilities required
• Charting via Cerner and Fuji Synapse

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience as a registered MRI technologist
• BLS certification required
• ARRT (MR) or (R) certification required
• WV State License required (pending license accepted; must be active by start date); license required if applicable
• IV Starts required
• PACS and Contrast experience preferred
• Required experience in Outpatient, Inpatient, and ER settings
• Required MRI procedure experience: Abdomen, Pelvis, Head/Neck, Spine, Musculoskeletal
• Preferred experience in Level 1 Trauma, Teaching Hospital, Community Hospital, and Adult ICU settings
• Preferred MRI procedure experience: CINE, Diffusion, Gradient Echo Imaging, Image Post-Processing, MIP, MPR, Perfusion, Peripheral MR, Spectroscopy, Spin Echo, Surface Coils, T1/T2 Weighted Images
• Minimum of 2 Manager/Charge references from within the past 2 years required

• First-time travelers accepted if MRI registered with 2+ years experience
• No RTO restrictions
• Locals accepted; candidates within 75-99 miles considered case-by-case for facility approval
• Former permanent employees must wait 2 years after last permanent work date before returning as a traveler
• Current Vandalia Health System employees (including CAMC, Mon Health, and affiliated hospitals) are not eligible for travel contracts within the health system
