Data Engineer - Dot Net Developer

Key Responsibilities
- Upgrade and convert applications from .NET Framework 3.x to .NET 8
- Refactor legacy MVC applications into Web API architecture
- Develop and maintain UI layers using .NET UI frameworks or React
- Perform end-to-end testing (API, UI, and database) before release
- Write, maintain, and optimize MSSQL queries, stored procedures, and functions
- Apply query optimization and indexing for performance improvement
- Troubleshoot and fix issues across application layers
- Deploy and publish applications in IIS
- Collaborate with senior developers, QA, and stakeholders during development and releases
Required Technical Skills
Backend / .NET
- Strong experience with C#, ASP.NET, MVC
- Working experience with .NET Core / .NET 6+ (preferably .NET 8)
- Hands-on experience developing RESTful Web APIs
- Exposure to legacy application refactoring and migration
Frontend
- Good working knowledge of JavaScript
- Experience with HTML and CSS
- Exposure to React UI or .NET-based UI frameworks
Database
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL), Oracle SQL
- Experience working with:
- Stored Procedures
- Functions
- Complex queries and joins
- Ability to optimize queries and apply indexing
Testing & Deployment
- Capable of conducting end-to-end testing
- Experience deploying applications on IIS
- Good debugging and issue-resolution skills
Nice to Have
- Experience working on legacy system modernization
- Exposure to performance tuning and security best practices
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Fircosoft Application Knowledge
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to take ownership of assigned modules
