Job Description

This role involves assembling, inspecting, and testing products, operating equipment and tools, and processing materials and components to meet production schedules and high quality standards. You will work with small components, follow detailed diagrams and written instructions, and support continuous improvement efforts in a clean manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products according to blueprints, diagrams, and written work instructions while meeting production schedule requirements and quality standards.

• Inspect and test parts and assemblies to verify conformance with quality requirements and identify nonconformances in materials, equipment, and tooling.

• Operate production equipment and tools independently from set-up through operation, following established procedures and safety guidelines.

• Work with small components, including parts under 5 mm in size, using appropriate tools and handling techniques.

• Perform work under a microscope for extended periods to ensure precision and accuracy in assembly and inspection.

• Serve as a subject matter expert in build operations and support team leaders by providing guidance to operators on setup and quality verification requirements.

• Provide guidance and support to less experienced manufacturing team members to help them identify known good setups prior to build.

• Collaborate with manufacturing team leaders and engineers to address and resolve issues related to material, equipment, and tooling.

• Contribute input to continuous improvement activities aimed at reducing material scrap and improving yields.

• Maintain accurate documentation and follow all written and verbal instructions related to production, quality, and safety.

• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate work, share information, and support a collaborative team environment.

• Maintain consistent and punctual attendance, including availability for assigned shifts and required overtime.

• Follow cleanroom or controlled-environment protocols when required, particularly for medical device assembly and related processes.

• Use computer systems as needed for production, documentation, or quality-related tasks.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, blueprints, and diagrams.

• Ability to comprehend verbal instructions and communicate effectively verbally.

• Experience working with small components, including parts under 5 mm in size.

• Ability to work under a microscope for extended periods of time.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage tasks efficiently.

• Ability to self-start while also following directions as required.

• Demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team.

• Consistent and punctual attendance with availability to work assigned shifts and required overtime.

• Computer familiarity sufficient to support production and documentation tasks.

• High school diploma or GED.

• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.

• Experience in cleanroom or controlled-environment operations.

• Experience in medical device assembly.

• Experience with soldering processes.

• Ability to interpret and work from blueprints.

• Experience with spot welding.

• Experience in production environments with established quality standards.

• Ability to identify nonconformances in materials, equipment, and tooling.

• Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap and improve yields.

• Ability to provide guidance and support to less experienced team members.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a clean manufacturing environment, with some areas operating under cleanroom or controlled-environment conditions, particularly for medical device assembly. Team members may work at benches, microscopes, and production equipment stations, performing tasks that require both sitting and standing for the duration of the shift. A great on-site café is available for breaks and meals. The standard shift is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with required overtime as needed to meet production demands. The environment emphasizes organization, cleanliness, and adherence to safety and quality procedures, with the use of microscopes, soldering tools, spot welding equipment, and computer systems as part of daily operations.

This is a Contract position based out of Attleboro, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
