Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Staff Officer SME (Classification/Program Protection) to support Office of the Under Secretary of War in Arlington, VA. We are seeking an individual with experience across program protection and policy development to support the Intelligence & Security Sensitive Activities & Special Programs directorate. Location: Arlington, VA (100% onsite) This job opens for applications on 9/4/2026. Applications for this job will be accepted for at least 30 days from the posting date Responsibilities: Develop and implement national and DoW strategies, policies, and training related to classification management and program protection in support of the Department of Warfare (DoW). Lead and coordinate security reviews, evaluating and providing recommendations on security classification guidance and Program Protection Plans (PPPs), approximately twice annually. Collaborate with Research & Engineering (R&E), Acquisition & Sustainment (A&S), the DoW Chief Information Officer (CIO), the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), Joint Staff (J28), and other federal stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of Program Protection, Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM), Counterintelligence (CI), and information security policies. Develop action memos, congressional responses, manuals, and briefings for the Department Qualifications: Bachelors degree and 10+ years of policy development, policy analysis, operational planning work within the Department of War/DoD.
