Forklift OperatorThe Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, loading, and unloading of products, packaging materials, and warehouse inventory throughout the facility. This role supports production and shipping operations by ensuring materials are delivered accurately and on time while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.ResponsibilitiesOperate sit down forklifts, including stand up reach lifts, to move, store, load, and unload pallets, bags, and large wood shipping bins.Lift and place pallets and bags in racking systems at heights of up to 40 feet, ensuring accuracy and stability.Support shipping and receiving operations by loading and unloading trucks and staging materials for outbound and inbound shipments.Perform inventory activities such as cycle counts and stock checks using RF scanners to maintain accurate inventory records.Handle products, including peppers and garlic, in cold storage areas while following all safety and handling procedures.Transport materials between different areas of the facility, including production, storage, and shipping departments, according to production and shipping schedules.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following housekeeping standards and reporting any hazards or equipment issues.Follow all safety protocols and operating procedures for forklift use, including pre-operation inspections and safe driving practices.Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.Adapt to different shifts as required, including completing initial training on the first shift and transitioning to a later shift.A valid Forklift certification is required for this job opportunity. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
