Join Allure of Lake Storey, a premier long-term care facility, as a Dietary Aide and play a vital role in providing exceptional care and service to our residents. As a key member of our food services team, you will work closely with our culinary staff to prepare and serve nutritious meals, snacks, and treats to our residents.

Summary:

As a Dietary Aide, you will be responsible for assisting with food functions, maintaining a clean and safe food environment, and providing exceptional service to our residents. Your attention to detail, ability to multitask, and strong communication skills will ensure that our residents receive the best possible care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with meal preparation, serving, and sanitation in accordance with planned menus, special diet orders, and sanitary regulations

• Maintain a clean and safe food environment, including the kitchen, dish room, and dining areas

• Assist with dishwashing, cleaning, and maintaining equipment and supplies

• Deliver snacks and treats to residents, as instructed

• Serve meals and drinks in the dining room, ensuring a positive experience for our residents

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

• Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment, including regular inspections of food service areas

• Must possess patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm when interacting with residents

• Ability to adapt to new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing food practices

• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace

Physical Demands:

• Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday

• Ability to possess sight/hearing senses, or use prosthetics enabling these senses to function adequately

• Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet

• May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations
