The Mermaid Inn is seeking an experienced, professional, and hospitality-driven Host to join our team.
As the first and last impression for our guests, our Hosts play a vital role in creating the warm, welcoming experience The Mermaid Inn is known for. We're looking for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment, communicates with confidence and professionalism, and genuinely enjoys taking care of people.
Responsibilities- Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival and thank them upon leaving.
- Manage reservations and seating using OpenTable.
- Coordinate table flow with management and the service team.
- Maintain accurate wait times and communicate effectively with guests.
- Deliver exceptional hospitality while staying calm and organized during busy service.
- Previous host experience in a busy restaurant is required.
- OpenTable and reservation management experience is required.
- Professional, friendly, and polished demeanor.
- Strong communication and multitasking skills.
- Ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
- A team-oriented attitude with a genuine passion for hospitality.
