FOH Shift Leader

A Shift Leader at Chick-fil-A plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations by guiding team members, upholding our high standards of service, and fostering a positive, team-oriented environment. Shift Leaders set the tone for excellence, helping create remarkable guest experiences while supporting the growth and development of those they lead.

• Oversee daily shift operations, effectively lead the team, and ensure guests are given a remarkable experience

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership

• Influence culture by modeling and reinforcing the Restaurant Framework.
• Embody Chick-fil-A Lake Oconee's Vision, Values, Mission, and Purpose.
• Lead by example and hold Team Members accountable to the Five Non-Negotiables.
• Protect the Chick-fil-A brand by ensuring excellence in Food Safety, Food Quality, and Guest Experience.
• Execute daily FOH standards through completion of operational checklists and shift responsibilities.
• Create a positive, welcoming environment where Team Members and guests feel valued.

Talent

• Demonstrate and reinforce the Core 4 and Guest Recovery model in every interaction.
• Seek feedback from Team Members and leaders to continuously improve.
• Master all FOH operational positions and coach Team Members to grow in their roles.
• Create a competitive, enthusiastic, and positive culture where Team Members feel supported and valued.
• Hold Team Members accountable with care while maintaining high standards.
• Continuously develop yourself and invest in the growth of others.
• Ensure new Team Members receive effective coaching and support throughout training.
• Support Trainers and the Development Team in providing consistent feedback and development opportunities.
• Communicate Team Member performance, needs, and opportunities with leaders.

Customer Experience

• Execute Pathway standards, genuine hospitality, 2nd Mile Service, and WHED strategies to create remarkable guest experiences.
• Protect the Chick-fil-A brand by cultivating a culture of Food Safety, Food Quality, and operational excellence.
• Ensure Team Members are trained and equipped to deliver Chick-fil-A brand standards.
• Lead the shift in achieving speed of service, appropriate transaction counts, and exceptional guest interactions.
• Ensure completion of daily cleaning routines, operational checklists, and FOH standards.
• Maintain Team Member appearance standards and successful execution of rollouts, LTOs, and promotional initiatives.
• Use CEM feedback, RSAs/FSAs, and CARES reports to identify opportunities and improve the guest experience.
• Partner with Directors to resolve guest concerns and implement solutions.

Sales & Brand Growth

• Champion restaurant goals and initiatives by communicating expectations and engaging the team.
• Support sales growth through excellent execution of catering, delivery, and Beyond the Restaurant opportunities.
• Ensure catering orders are prepared and fulfilled accurately with a focus on exceptional guest experience.
• Help create a culture that grows alongside the restaurant by developing Team Members and celebrating success.
• Encourage hospitality behaviors that drive guest loyalty, repeat visits, and sales growth.

Financial Stewardship

• Demonstrate excellent stewardship of restaurant resources.
• Execute LEAN/FIFO practices to minimize waste and protect food cost.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient restaurant environment, including walk-ins and back-of-house support areas.
• Protect cash through proper cash-handling procedures and accountability.
• Monitor and adjust shift deployment to support labor and productivity goals.
• Ensure proper portioning, procedures, and product handling to support food cost goals.
• Ensure waste, remakes, and inventory adjustments are accurately recorded for accountability and tracking.

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS

• Schedule: Full-Time (30+ hrs/week)
• Open: At least once a week
• Close: At least once a week
• Must be able to work Friday & Saturday

• Previous leadership/management experience in the restaurant industry
