Temporary Collections and AR Specialist

Parallel Employment is seeking a Temporary Collections and Accounts Receivable Specialist to cover for approximately a 3–6-month period. This role focuses on managing overdue accounts, communicating with customers regarding outstanding invoices, and ensuring timely collection of payments. The position will support month-end closing activities and maintain accurate records of receivables.

1st shift: either 7:30-4 or 8-4:30; hybrid.

Job location: Racine, WI

Job type: temporary; 3-6 months

Salary: $28/$29 depending on the experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor accounts receivable aging reports
• Contact customers to collect overdue payments professionally and efficiently
• Record and reconcile payments received
• Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes in coordination with customer service and sales teams
• Prepare periodic reports on collection status and outstanding balances
• Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts receivable
• Maintain accurate and organized accounts receivable documentation

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• 2+ years of experience in collections and accounts receivable
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
