Heavy Haul Driver

Location: Andover, NY

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview: We are looking for experienced and skilled Heavy Haul Drivers to become part of our team. The perfect candidate will possess a solid background in the safe and efficient transportation of oversized and overweight cargo.

Primary Duties:

• Operate heavy haul trucks to transport oversized and overweight shipments safely.
• Plan and navigate routes in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Ensure loads are secured properly for safe transit.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on the vehicle.
• Keep accurate logs and records of cargo, routes taken, and hours worked.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and fellow team members.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and represent the organization professionally.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in heavy haul transportation.
• Possession of a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with necessary endorsements.
• Strong understanding of state and federal transportation laws.
• Capability to operate and maintain heavy haul vehicles.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Willingness to be away from home for extended periods, including trips exceeding one week.

Preferred Certifications:

• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
• Wind Industry Transportation Professional Advanced Certification (WITPAC)
