Parts Counter Clerk

Job Description The Counter Person is the primary point of contact for customers at an auto mechanic shop. This role involves greeting customers, understanding their vehicle needs, coordinating with technicians, and ensuring a smooth, professional experience from drop-off to pick-up. Key Responsibilities Greet customers promptly and professionally at the front counter Listen to customer concerns and gather vehicle and service information Create repair orders and accurately document requested services Communicate repair needs, estimates, and timelines to customers Coordinate with mechanics and shop staff regarding vehicle status Order, receive, and distribute parts as needed Process payments, invoices, and basic cash register transactions Answer phones, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries Maintain a clean, organized front counter and office area Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills Basic knowledge of automotive systems and terminology preferred Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Comfortable using computers, point-of-sale systems, and shop software Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Preferred Skills Previous experience in an auto repair shop, parts counter, or service advisor role Familiarity with parts ordering systems and vehicle lookup tools Ability to work well with technicians and customers Work Environment Automotive repair shop with frequent customer interaction Standing, walking, and light lifting may be required Benefits Mancan is the only staffing company to offer our employees competitive benefits including direct deposit paycheck options, paid time off for holidays & vacations, life/health/dental insurance, career development/training, and 401(k) with company match! #J-18808-Ljbffr Mancan
