Black River Health is hiring a full-time Patient Service Technician to help patients safely manage the medical equipment they rely on at home. In this hands‑on role, you’ll combine technical skills, patient education, and compassionate service to deliver, set up, maintain, and explain the use of home medical and respiratory equipment. You’ll work directly with patients, families, and caregivers while representing Black River Health throughout our community. Why You’ll Love This Role Full-time: 72 hours per pay period Schedule: Monday–Friday, days On‑call: Approximately every 3 weeks, including a rotating schedule for weekends and holidays Benefits eligible A rewarding opportunity to make a direct impact on patients’ lives in their homes Work with a team that values collaboration, professional growth, and compassionate care What You’ll Do As a Patient Service Technician, you will: Develop and maintain knowledge of home medical equipment, respiratory products, and related services. Manage orders and inventory for home and hospital oxygen tanks and other equipment. Deliver and set up medical and respiratory equipment in patients’ homes, including oxygen equipment. Teach patients, families, and caregivers how to safely use and care for their equipment. Pick up equipment from patient homes, process returned equipment, and prepare it for the next patient. Maintain home oxygen systems through regularly scheduled patient visits. Perform routine preventive maintenance and equipment repairs in accordance with organizational policies and manufacturer recommendations. Assist customers with walk‑in needs and telephone inquiries in the Home & Respiratory Equipment office. What You’ll Bring Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and ability to meet organizational driving eligibility requirements Basic computer and data‑entry skills Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire Strong communication skills and the ability to educate patients and caregivers Ability to interact compassionately with patients and families and accurately document care Preferred: Healthcare experience Experience working with medical equipment or respiratory products Be Part of Care That Comes Home At Black River Health, you’ll be part of a team dedicated to providing outstanding, compassionate healthcare close to home.
