Mammography Technologist

Job Description Jefferson Radiology is a leading radiology practice group in Connecticut, operating ten imaging centers across central Connecticut and affiliated with multiple regional hospitals. Position Summary Perform mammography (and X-ray/fluoro as applicable) using proper positioning, technique selection, and equipment protocols. Ensure accurate patient identification, review orders/requisitions, and document history in compliance with ACR standards. Operate and manage imaging systems (RIS/PACS), verifying image quality, proper labeling, and successful transmission. Maintain strict quality assurance and radiation safety practices, including ALARA principles and regulatory compliance. Deliver safe, professional patient care while managing workflow, documentation, supplies, and coordination with other modalities. Desired Professional Skills and Experience Graduate of a recognized AMA Council of Education program in radiologic technology. Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). State certification as Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT). Requires mammography certification and current CPR and AED certification. Final determinations may vary based on education, experience, certifications, geographic location, and other factors.
