General Case Focused RN

This position is for a Registered Nurse with a focus on general surgical cases. The facility is a Level III Trauma Center with a Magnet Designation and offers advanced care in various surgical specialties. The surgical department has 21 operating suites with an average patient census to be determined. The role requires competencies in neuro procedures, including laminectomies, fusions, and discectomies. Experience with cranial surgeries, including tumors and ventriculoperitoneal shunts, is preferred. Competencies in ENT surgeries such as neck dissections, sinus surgery, and general gynecological surgeries are also necessary. Candidates should be proficient in the use of advanced surgical navigation technology. Orientation time will vary based on the team and shift needs. This position may involve on-call responsibilities with a specified response time. Candidates will be expected to rotate through multiple specialties within the operating room. Weekend shifts may be required based on department needs. This role does not allow for floating to other hospitals or settings. Candidates must comply with all departmental protocols and policies. Free shuttle service is available for teammates to and from the parking structure. Food options include a cafeteria and coffee services on campus.
