Are you ready to lead high-impact procurement initiatives with a dynamic, high-growth company? We are looking for a strategic, results-driven Senior Buyer to join our team.

\n

This role is ideal for an experienced procurement professional looking to own end-to-end strategic sourcing, drive category management, and lead complex commercial negotiations within the renewable energy and energy storage industry. You will spearhead high-value sourcing strategies, manage critical supplier partnerships, and play a pivotal role in scaling our Source-to-Pay (S2P) operations.

You’ll work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to mitigate supply chain risks, optimize cost structures, and support large-scale project deployment. This role includes a travel requirement of approximately 15-25% for key supplier negotiations, site visits, and operational coordination. Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Lead the end-to-end Source-to-Pay (S2P) lifecycle for critical project categories; develop and execute RFPs/RFQs, drive complex commercial bid evaluations, and architect high-value supplier contracts.
\n
• Serve as the strategic escalation point for key suppliers; conduct regular business reviews, monitor long-term performance KPIs, mitigate commercial risks, and drive continuous supplier improvement.
\n
• Partner seamlessly with Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Legal, and Finance teams to align procurement strategies with major project milestones, capital budgets, and execution timelines in an EPC driven environment.
\n
• Negotiate favorable commercial terms, pricing agreements, warranties, and service level agreements (SLAs) while partnering with legal counsel to minimize risk and ensure corporate compliance.
\n
• Conduct total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses, monitor global market trends for key commodities, generate executive-level reports, and identify cost-optimization opportunities.
\n
• Drive internal procurement process improvements, maintain rigorous audit readiness within ERP systems.

Required Qualifications

\n

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
\n
• 6–8+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, purchasing, contract management, or supply chain operations, ideally within industrial, manufacturing, construction, or energy sectors.
\n
• Demonstrated success in independently drafting, negotiating, and executing complex commercial contracts and master service agreements (MSA’s).
\n
• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and procurement automation tools.
\n
• Strong analytical capabilities with advanced proficiency in data analysis and Microsoft Excel (or related BI tools).
\n
• Proven track record managing procurement within project-based or capital-intensive environments.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to articulate and resolve complex operational or commercial challenges using structured frameworks ( STAR method: Situation, Task, Action, Result during case evaluations/interviews)
\n
• Exceptional cross-functional communication, active listening, executive-level stakeholder management, high emotional intelligence ( EQ ) for conflict resolution, and adaptability in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n

\n
• Demonstrated experience working within an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) environment or managing complex EPC subcontracts.
\n
• Experience specifically in managing end-to-end procurement cycles for complex, highly engineered industrial installations, including renewable energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS), high voltage electrical infrastructure, Biogas Digestion, Geothermal/ORC, and Oil & Gas process plants.
\n
• Demonstrated track record of achieving significant, measurable cost savings through direct supplier negotiations, competitive sourcing events, cost analysis, and commercial strategy

Compensation and Benefits:

• The anticipated base salary range for this position is $110,000- $125,000 based on experience
\n
