The Opportunity

We're looking for a Founding Technical Recruiter to build and run full-cycle hiring across Prudentia Sciences, reporting directly to the Head of People. You'll lead searches spanning AI/ML, engineering, product, design, and data science, all while acting as a strategic partner to the hiring managers and executives you support. This recruiter must be fluent in attracting and assessing AI/ML engineering talent.

This role is for someone who wants to build recruiting at a company still early enough that your fingerprints will be on the process itself, not just the hires. You'll run searches end-to-end, but you'll also help define how Prudentia hires: the interview loops, the scorecards, the candidate experience, and the employer brand that gets top talent excited about a mission-driven, science-first company.

What You'll Do

Own Full-Cycle Technical Recruiting Across the Company

• Manage the entire hiring lifecycle: sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer negotiation, and closing, for roles spanning technical functions

• Keep multiple searches moving at once without sacrificing candidate experience or hiring bar

Partner Strategically with Hiring Managers and Leadership

• Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and executives, translating open-ended hiring needs into clear role scopes, sourcing strategies, and interview plans

• Bring market and compensation data to the table so leaders can make fast, informed decisions

Build and Scale Recruiting Infrastructure

• Stand up the systems, processes, and metrics that let recruiting scale with the company, from applicant tracking workflows to structured interview kits to hiring dashboards the Head of People and leadership team can rely on

Champion Candidate Experience and Employer Brand

• Own every candidate's experience of Prudentia, from first outreach to offer, ensuring it reflects our culture and values

• Help tell Prudentia's story to prospective hires in a competitive market for technical talent

Who You Are

Essential Qualifications

• 10+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with a proven track record hiring technical talent (AI, engineering, data, or product roles)

• Familiarity with AI and ML hiring profiles and the technical bar for evaluating them

• Experience recruiting at a high-growth startup, ideally where you built or significantly improved the hiring process rather than just running an existing one

• Proven ability to manage a high volume of searches across multiple functions simultaneously without dropping quality or speed

• Strong sourcing skills, including direct outreach to passive candidates, and comfort using recruiting and ATS tools to run a data-driven process

• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with experience advising hiring managers and executives on hiring strategy

• Prior experience using Rippling’s Recruiting module and Ashby (currently migrating ATS)

• Creativity on how you’re leveraging AI to improve recruiting process

• A strong point of view on candidate experience and employer brand

• Experience recruiting for frontier LLM companies

• Experience building a recruiting function from the ground up (first recruiting hire, or first few)

• Experience recruiting for roles internationally (Europe, Singapore & China)

Location

We are looking for this role to be hybrid from our new San Francisco, CA office twice per week (Tues/Thurs).
