The Team: The American Girl Retail team is integral in providing lifetime memories to American Girl fans and their families. Our experiential retail stores provide shopping destinations like no other. This requires Innovation, Collaboration, and Execution from all who are a part of this division. Our in-store experiences range depending on location from Girl and Doll Salons, Full-Service Restaurants, Personal Shopping, Ear Piercing (Girl and Doll), hosting Parties/Celebrations to name a few. Job Description

The Opportunity: The Seasonal Merchandise Handler Lead is located at the AG NYC Retail Flagship location and reports directly to the Operations Manager. This position is responsible for assisting in the management of the back of house operations and to provide positive leadership support to the team.

What Your Impact Will Be:

• Monitor and supervise placement of merchandise both on the selling floor and in the stockroom according to visual, safety and efficiency standards.
• Supervise and verify incoming and outgoing trailers and manifests.
• Promote positive team environment; motivate department members; support buddy training, develop skill set of team; maintain solution-orientated approach in support of overall business and team.
• Communicate internal and external concerns to manager; communicate company, store, and department information to associates.
• Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

• 6 months to 2 years of experience with merchandise handling, inventory, and maintenance issues, preferred.
• Experience in maintaining/troubleshooting IT and POS equipment, preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Must be available to work open and close shifts, weekends, and holidays.
