Our company has unsurpassed service in terms of quality, delivery, value, and service! Shift Hours This is an hourly position. Hours will generally be between 8 am-5 pm on weekdays with a monthly evening shift and/or Saturday appointment. Position Summary Advanced Interiors is seeking a Builder Design Team Member. This designer will work alongside a team to serve builders in the area. Duties and Responsibilities Working with clients for the interior selections in their new home finishes, including flooring, counters and cabinetry. Helping clients to stay within their budget allowances. Documenting, typing, and communicating information based on design appointments. Collaborating with other staff members of the Builder Design Team to best serve our clients. Sampling/merchandising of design showrooms. Other duties and responsibilities. Competencies Skills: communication skills – both verbal on the phone and in person, and with grammatical written correspondence, keen customer service skills, highly detail-oriented and accurate, follow up, and follow-through skills, team and individual problem solving, efficiency, time management and prioritization skills, creative, and enjoys the process of selecting materials. Abilities: ability to multitask well in an active and shared workspace, creative with a can-do attitude, ability to shift and be flexible when unexpected change arises. Experience: Interior Design degree and minimum 2 years' experience in design and/or interior selections, and the residential building market is ideal. Who you will work with Builders, VP of Sales, homeowners, and colleague designers. Physical Demands Ability to lift 30 pounds repetitively and be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation, and without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of the individual or others. The team members transport sample boards to and from the main office at Advanced Interiors, as well as open boxes of samples from vendors, and allocate to the correct location.
