Critical Care - Intensivist - Physician - Academics

Join a leading academic medical center as an Adult Intensivist in the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery. Responsibilities Providing expert critical care to adult cardiovascular and thoracic surgical patients in a state‑of‑the‑art CVSICU. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality patient outcomes. Participating in bedside teaching, simulation, and academic activities for students, residents, and advanced practice providers. Engaging in research across clinical, translational, or basic science domains. Contributing to departmental governance, quality improvement, and academic programming. Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited institution. Board certified or eligible in critical care medicine (anesthesiology, internal medicine, or surgery‑based pathway). Fellowship training in critical care medicine. Eligible for unrestricted Texas medical license. Experience managing complex cardiovascular ICU patients with strong procedural skills. Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities. Commitment to academic excellence, clinical innovation, and fostering a professional, empathetic ICU culture. Eligible for appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor.
