Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to individuals in a correctional health setting, including triage, assessments, and routine monitoring.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; manage common medical devices and wound care as needed.
- Document patient status and interventions accurately in the electronic health record; escalate clinical concerns per protocol.
- Monitor for changes in condition, respond to routine and emergent events, and participate in interdisciplinary rounds.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and security protocols; maintain professional boundaries and respect for patient privacy.

Requirements
- Active registered nurse (RN) license with eligibility to practice in Alabama (or equivalent US license)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work evenings in a corrections health setting and follow facility policies
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills; experience with electronic health records preferred
- Ability to pass background checks and process-required screenings
- Prior corrections or security-sensitive healthcare experience preferred but not required
