This onsite, full-time contract opportunity allows you to lend your expertise as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI), working alongside a dedicated team to foster accessible learning environments across multiple locations.

What We’re Looking For:

• Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Prior experience working with students who are visually impaired or have multiple disabilities
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for partnering with general and special education staff, families, and related service providers
• Adaptability to float between campuses and manage a fluctuating caseload
• Ability to develop and implement individualized educational plans and adapt curriculum materials

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to determine students’ eligibility and needs for special education services related to visual impairments
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with students’ unique requirements
• Provide direct instruction in braille, orientation and mobility concepts, technology, and daily living skills as needed
• Consult regularly with educators and staff to enhance instructional strategies and facilitate accessibility
• Advocate for students’ needs, ensuring compliance with IDEA and relevant regulations
• Maintain accurate documentation and timely communication with parents and team members
