Tax Manager – Trusts & EstatesA CPA with at least five years of public accounting experience and strong technical expertise in trust and estate taxation. Performs final technical reviews of trust and estate income tax returns while leading engagements, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with evolving tax laws. Full-time role available immediately within a confidential professional services firm supporting a diverse trust and estate client base. To strengthen the firm's trust and estate tax practice through exceptional technical oversight, quality assurance, and effective team and client leadership. Salary: competitive and commensurate with experience.Position overview: The Tax Manager – Trusts & Estates oversees the preparation and review of complex trust and estate income tax returns, manages staff and workflow, researches advanced tax matters, and supports exceptional client service while maintaining strict confidentiality and quality standards.Key responsibilities include: providing final technical review of 1041 trust and estate income tax returns, researching complex tax issues and developing practical recommendations, staying current on changes in tax laws and accounting procedures, planning, coordinating, and managing client engagements to meet all deadlines, communicating directly with clients to ensure their best interests are served, supporting and guiding staff and supervisors by setting expectations, providing resources, and maintaining a positive work environment, monitoring work quality and personnel performance, assigning, tracking, and managing tasks and projects delegated to staff and supervisors, mentoring and developing team members to support continued growth, building and maintaining internal and external networks to assist in business development, overseeing billing, collections, WIP monitoring, aging, and write-downs, participating in internal CPE programs and training initiatives.Qualifications: CPA certification required. Minimum of five years of public accounting experience. Demonstrated leadership ability. Strong decision-making skills with initiative. Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
