QA Automation EngineerWe are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer with a strong focus on API testing to join our team as a contractor. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in quality assurance and automation testing, with a proven track record of developing and executing automated test scripts for APIs. This role requires a detail oriented individual who can work collaboratively in a fast paced environment and ensure the delivery of high quality software products.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for API testing using industry standard tools and frameworks.Execute automated test cases and analyze results to identify defects and areas for improvement.Collaborate with development teams to understand API specifications and ensure comprehensive test coverage.Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality of APIs.Document test plans, test cases, and test results in a clear and concise manner.Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Assist in troubleshooting and debugging issues reported by users and stakeholders.Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in QA automation and API testing.Mandatory Skills:Strong expertise in API testing, including RESTful and SOAP services.Proficiency in automation testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar.Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation.Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.Preferred Skills:Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.Knowledge of database testing and SQL.Familiarity with cloud services and microservices architecture.Experience in mobile application testing.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.5-7 years of experience in QA automation with a focus on API testing.Strong analytical and problem solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
