Candidates must have detailed knowledge of systems with emphasis on accidental fire prevention and incipient control. Responsibilities will involve maintaining many different systems including, but not limited to, the following:/pulliElectrical distribution, plant air, and process water systems./liliBatch mixing and weighing systems./liliFurnace gas train, air handling systems and the furnace reversal system./liliTin bath operation and refractory repair./liliAttenuator operation with emphasis on water jacket/rotary union repair and rebuild./liliHigh temperature resistance heater systems, repair high temperature insulation./liliLaser based glass defect detection and automatic glass inspection systems./liliMaintaining vibration analysis on high-speed fan impellers and bearing systems./liliProper maintenance of x y glass cutters and snap roll systems./liliSiemens programmable logic controllers and the Bailey distribution controls system./liliMaintaining high temperature lift out and conveyor rolls./liliRobotics systems./liliContinuous emissions monitoring systems and electrical control systems/liliGlass fabrication equipment design, installing and repairing glass bubblers./li/ulpstrongRequirements:/strong/ppHigh school diploma or its equivalent./polli2-years technical degree or 3 years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment./liliExperience in fabrication and welding is preferred./liliAbility to read, write, and communicate in English./li/olpstrongPhysical requirements and equipment to use./strong/pulliPhysical requirements include lifting to 80 pounds, climbing, bending, standing, stooping, working overhead, in temperature extremes, working in confined spaces, wearing a respirator (passing the pulmonary test). Able to work in high areas (top of ladder, elevators, or on top of buildings, etc.)./liliEquipment to use includes hand tools, power tools, and mobile equipment forklifts, loaders, track mobile, scrubber-sweeper, aerial lifts, skid loader./liliPPE/liliRespirator, hearing protection, safety shoes, safety glasses with side shields, white gloves, locks for lock-out, hot hoods, hot jackets, uniform, coveralls, Arc flash PPE, welding protective gear./li/ulpCardinal Mooresville offers a 12-hour rotating schedule days/nights, working 2, 2, 3- shifts.
