IT Support TechnicianLocation: Santa Monica, CA Schedule: Hybrid (Onsite Tuesday-Thursday | Remote Monday & Friday) Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST Pay Rate: $27.00 - $30.00 per hourAbout the OpportunityA well-established nonprofit organization is seeking an IT Support Technician to join its Technology team. This role is responsible for providing day-to-day technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting workplace technology, and ensuring a seamless user experience across the organization.The ideal candidate is customer-focused, technically proficient, and eager to learn. This position will work closely with a Senior IT Technician, providing backup support and assisting with daily IT operations. The technician will also partner with remote IT team members via Microsoft Teams for troubleshooting assistance, escalations, and technical guidance when needed.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for onsite and remote employees.Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, printer, and mobile device issues.Configure, deploy, and maintain laptops, desktops, monitors, and peripherals.Support Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Office Suite.Troubleshoot Windows and macOS operating systems.Assist with user account administration, password resets, and access management through Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.Support conference room technology, audiovisual equipment, and video conferencing solutions.Perform employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including workstation setup and equipment collection.Maintain accurate documentation of support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions within the ticketing system.Assist with IT asset management, inventory tracking, and equipment lifecycle management.Provide backup support for the Senior IT Technician and assist with daily technology operations.Collaborate with remote IT team members via Microsoft Teams to troubleshoot issues, escalate concerns, and coordinate resolutions.Deliver exceptional customer service while managing multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment.Required Qualifications2+ years of experience in IT Support, Desktop Support, Help Desk, or a related technical support role.Experience supporting Windows 10/11 and macOS environments.Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and end-user support.Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), or similar identity management platforms.Basic understanding of networking concepts, including Wi-Fi, VPNs, DNS, and TCP/IP.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with onsite and remote team members.Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
