The ideal candidate will have experience in managing high-risk pregnancies and providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns in a fast-paced environment. Job Responsibilities Provide patient-centered care to laboring mothers and newborns. Assist in high-risk deliveries and manage appropriate interventions. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care. Float within the Labor & Delivery department, including 1-2 shifts per week in postpartum. Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, specifically EPIC. Schedule This position involves 12-hour night shifts, averaging 36 hours per week, with a requirement of every third weekend. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery. Proven experience with high-risk pregnancies and high acuity cases. Experience in circulating during deliveries is required; scrub experience is preferred. Completion of multiple travel contracts is preferred. Recent experience within larger, high-volume delivery centers, handling 200-300 deliveries per month. Certifications Active Iowa RN license. BLS certification (AHA). ACLS certification (AHA). AWHONN certification for fetal monitoring. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
