Entry Level Machine Operator

General Production Worker

The role involves transferring, stocking, loading, and unloading materials for production lines. The materials handled may include diffusers, holders, retainers, initiators, o-rings, end caps, sleeves, canisters, filters, tubes, disks, foil seals, springs, support barrels, shorting clips, labels, and generant. The position may also involve checking, correcting, or performing rework of inflators and conducting quality procedures and audits, including dimensional checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, stock, load, and unload materials for production lines.
• Handle various materials such as diffusers, holders, retainers, and more.
• Check, correct, or perform rework of inflators as necessary.
• Conduct quality procedures and audits, including dimensional checks.
• Perform visual inspections as required.

Essential Skills

• Experience in manufacturing
• Ability to stand or walk for 8 hours per day
• Comfortable dealing with explosives
• Tech-savvy as all equipment is automated
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 40 lbs regularly

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude is a plus for advancement opportunities

Work Environment

The work environment is a climate-controlled manufacturing setting with automated production equipment used for making airbag inflators. Employees must adhere to strict safety policies, including no lighters, matches, cigarettes, or vaping devices on site. Work is structured in shifts: 1st shift from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, 2nd shift from 2 PM to 10:30 PM, and 3rd shift from 10 PM to 6:30 AM. Employees must be willing to work 6-7 days per week, with rotating schedules to ensure equal opportunity for weekend time off. The first workday is always on a Tuesday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM before transitioning to the designated shift schedule.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Queen Creek, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.55/hr.
