Music Teacher

Position open: Music Teacher The Orange Elementary Schools are seeking a Music Teacher Key Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate music curriculum aligned with state and national standards. Teach general music to students in grades K-6, including rhythm, melody, harmony, form, and expressive qualities. Introduce students to various musical instruments, genres, and cultural music traditions. Plan and direct student performances, concerts, and other school events. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and growth. Assess student progress regularly and provide feedback to students and parents. Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and other staff to integrate music into interdisciplinary lessons. Maintain classroom instruments, materials, and equipment in good condition. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school community activities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field (required). Valid teaching certification/license in Massachusetts for Elementary Music (required). Previous teaching experience in elementary or general music (preferred). Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Enthusiasm for working with young learners and a commitment to fostering their artistic growth. Salary: $45,174 - $99,464 depending on experience and credits/degrees Ralph C.
