A Day In The Life

You set the pace for the store and tone for the team, modeling the Discount Tire culture in how you lead and support others. You start with a huddle, assign bays, and keep the workflow steady so customers receive safe, high-quality, and timely service. You are on the floor with your team-coaching, stepping in where needed, and ensuring strong execution across the business.

You engage directly with customers to explain options clearly, build trust, and help them make confident decisions. You think beyond the moment—connecting daily actions to store performance, team productivity, and the overall customer experience. No desk is required.

Your Everyday Work Includes

• Leading a team: Train, mentor, and coach a team of 4–5 technicians while fostering a culture focused on teamwork, customer care, and accountability to performance, safety, and quality standards.
• Driving store performance: Support the achievement of store goals by maintaining efficient workflow, strong team productivity, and a consistent, high-quality customer experience
• Managing operations: Organize and oversee inventory of tires, wheels, wiper blades, and lug nuts while ensuring accuracy, availability, and operational efficiency
• Delivering customer results: Create an inviting, easy, and safe experience that builds trust, drives repeat business, and supports store performance
• Growing as a leader: Develop the skills, judgment, and decision-making ability required to operate a high-performing retail business through hands-on experience
• Overseeing service execution: Ensure tire and wheel service operations are completed efficiently, safely, and to standard (installation, rotation, balancing, repairs, and cleaning)
