Processing AssociateNew York State Solar is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable Processing Associate to join our growing Operations team. This role is responsible for supporting critical administrative and operational functions throughout the solar project lifecycle, including contract generation, financing documentation, utility interconnection support, and operational processing coordination.This position plays a key role in ensuring projects move efficiently from contract through installation by maintaining operational accuracy, supporting internal teams, and delivering a seamless customer experience.Duties & Responsibilities:As a Processing Associate, you will:Generate, review, and process customer contracts, home improvement agreements, and service agreements accurately and efficientlyCreate and maintain operational templates, documentation, and standardized processing materialsPrepare and process financing applications, utility interconnection documentation, and related project paperworkAssist with Department of Buildings (DOB) permitting documentation and submission supportPrepare roofing documentation and generate roof quotes with a high degree of accuracy and organizationEnsure all operational documents are complete, compliant, and properly maintained within company systemsPerform quality control (QC) reviews on contracts, documentation, and team processing work to ensure accuracy and consistencyUpdate and maintain project management systems and internal databases with accurate project information and status updatesCollaborate closely with Operations, Sales, Accounting, Field, and Office teams to ensure project information is communicated accurately and efficientlySupport operational workflow changes and project updates in a dynamic environment with evolving prioritiesIdentify missing information, documentation discrepancies, or process issues and escalate appropriately for resolutionServe as a liaison between internal departments to ensure smooth coordination throughout the solar project lifecycleAssist with operational coordination efforts to help ensure projects remain on track for installation timelinesAdapt quickly to shifting operational priorities and support team needs as business demands evolveJob Requirements:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience in project coordination, operations, processing, administration, or a related field preferred1–3 years of experience in processing, project coordination, administrative operations, or customer support preferredExperience within the solar, roofing, construction, permitting, or renewable energy industries is a plusStrong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage high-volume workflows in a fast-paced environmentExceptional attention to detail and accuracy when handling contracts, financing applications, permitting documentation, and operational recordsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally across Management, Sales, Accounting, Operations, Field, and Office teamsStrong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with the capability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues proactivelyAbility to perform quality control (QC) reviews and maintain consistency across operational documentation and workflowsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and project management/database systemsAbility to work independently while maintaining accountability, productivity, and deadline adherenceStrong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a high-volume operational environmentPassion for renewable energy and delivering an exceptional customer experience is preferredBenefits:Medical, vision & dental InsuranceFlexible Spending Account (FSA)401(K) with up to 6% matchPaid TrainingPaid time off (vacation, sick, bereavement, etc.)
