Physical Therapist (PRN)

Physical Therapist - PRN/as needed Pay Range: $55.00 - $60.00/hour Description We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assess, plan, organize, and administer individualized rehabilitative programs designed to enhance mobility, alleviate pain, increase strength, and improve or correct disabling conditions caused by disease or injury. Your expertise will help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited therapy program Experience: 2-3 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Licenses/Certifications: Current Physical Therapist state license; CPR certification Excellent verbal & written communication Time management Sound judgment & decision making Active listening Service orientation Social perceptiveness Requirements Restores patient’s function, alleviates pain and prevents disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed physical therapy. Provides quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results. Develops a treatment plan for each patient based on initial and ongoing evaluations, including short- and long-term goals, collaboration demands of other staff members, and required patient and caregiver involvement. Determines physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription. Implements Plan of Treatment on a consistent schedule and adjusts this schedule and plan according to patient progress. Helps patient accomplish treatment plan by administering manual exercises, massage, and using equipment as necessary. Evaluates mobility, strength, and current level of patient function, while setting goals to improve in these areas that are scaled to patient abilities and realistically attainable. Evaluate and record patient progress, modify treatment plans, and try new treatments if required. Evaluate the use and fit of prosthetic and orthotic devices by observing, noting patient’s progress, and recommending adjustments and modifications. Documents patient care services according to approved medical documentation and facility documentation procedures. Reports patient progress to the patient, patient caregivers and loved ones, facility staff, and healthcare professionals involved in ongoing treatment/care of patients. Develops a plan for patients following completion of their Plan of Treatment with appropriate in-home care services. Leads by example and exhibits professionalism at all times.
