Scientist II: Kinase Screening & Profiling

Eurofins seeks a Scientist II to lead kinase screening and profiling operations in San Diego. The role involves managing daily laboratory activities, operating high-throughput screening instrumentation, and driving process improvements while ensuring quality results and client service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead kinase screening and profiling group execution, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts
• Operate high-throughput screening instruments including ECHO acoustic dispenser and Agilent liquid handlers
• Perform protein expression, cell transfections, and crude lysate preparation from mammalian and bacterial cultures
• Analyze screening results independently using regression analysis and data visualization tools
• Coordinate team workflow, adjust staffing priorities, and support urgent deliverables as laboratory floor leader

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Biology with 5+ years experience, or Master's in Biology with 2+ years
• Proficiency with high-throughput screening instruments and liquid handling robotics
• Experience with data analysis software such as TIBCO Spotfire and PRISM
• Ability to troubleshoot assays and solve practical problems independently
• Strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and written/oral communication
• Lab equipment and office computer software proficiency
• Authorization to work in U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship

Compensation: $37.50–$42.30/hr
