Location: Henderson, NV 89074
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Salary: 80,000 - 90,000

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, the Senior Purchasing Agent is responsible for overseeing purchasing and pricing to help ensure profitability for the Company. This includes procuring raw materials, supplies, equipment, and services for operations.

Duties will also include reviewing requisition requests, preparing purchase orders, and soliciting bids for goods and services. This role collaborates with the leadership team to implement effective procurement strategies and serves as a key resource in resolving issues such as supply chain disruptions or pricing conflicts.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Negotiate, re-negotiate, and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives
• Lead the evaluation and monitoring of contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and determine the need for changes
• Leverage vendors/subcontractors across multiple procurements to create cost savings for projects
• Maintain all relevant purchasing data of goods in the ERP
• Analyze price proposals and other financial data to determine reasonable prices for goods and services
• Balance cost and quality to procure the best quality of goods or services for the lowest price in adequate amounts
• Actively develop schedules and performance plans to meet customer and Company goals and objectives
• Monitor and adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and policies regarding the purchase of goods and services
• Collaborate with internal departments, including estimating, purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and shipping, to communicate customer requirements
• Collaborate with a worldwide network of suppliers and vendors
• Perform other duties outside their scope of work as assigned and required

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Minimum high school graduate or general education degree (GED)
• BS in Business Administration or Engineering, or related field preferred
• 5 or more years’ experience as an international purchasing agent
• Prior experience with purchasing new PCBAs and electrical components is desired
• Strong experience working with ERP systems
• Strong Microsoft Office application skills, including Excel and Word
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
• Strong team player with the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with Sales, Shipping & Receiving, Engineering, Suppliers, and Customers
• Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to follow policies and procedures
• Travel may be required up to approximately 25%
• Must be able to read, write, and speak/understand English fluently

This role is conducted in an office environment requiring some or all of the following:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or workstation
• Repetitive hand and arm movements
• Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required
• Frequent reaching, grasping, pushing or pulling, bending, or twisting motions
• Walking short distances and standing for meetings or other office activities
