Assistant Controller

Responsibilities Assist the Controller in managing the firm's daily accounting operations, including oversight of the general ledger and fixed asset accounting. Oversee and participate in month‑end and year‑end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including preparation of journal entries and bank reconciliations. Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules and ensure information is accurately recorded in associated records. Assist with budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance analysis to support management decision‑making. Prepare and file various tax returns and reports, including CAT, sales tax, and use tax filings. Utilize financial and reporting software to extract and analyze data for financial analysis, reporting, and presentations. Support the implementation and improvement of accounting systems, ERP systems, and related financial processes. Assist in developing, documenting, and maintaining accounting policies and procedures. Respond to and support various internal and external financial reporting requests. Provide support across finance functions and perform other accounting duties as needed.
