About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chairman of the Board to provide strategic leadership, governance oversight, and, most importantly, the investor relationships and fundraising expertise necessary to support the company's growth. The successful candidate will be a trusted partner to the CEO and Board, guiding the organization through critical phases of clinical development, capital markets strategy, and potential business development activities. This role is highly active and engaged, requiring a Chairman who is not only a figurehead but also a key player in the company's mission to make a meaningful impact on cancer patient outcomes. The ideal Chairman will have a background as a current or former CEO, President, or C-suite executive of a publicly traded or late-stage private oncology biotech, or as a senior partner or managing director at a leading life sciences venture capital or crossover fund with direct portfolio governance experience in oncology. Board experience is essential, with a preference for candidates who have served as Chairman or Lead Independent Director of a clinical-stage biotech. The role demands a leader with a collaborative, high-integrity approach, a deep understanding of the oncology domain, and a proven track record in fundraising and investor relations. The Chairman will be responsible for board leadership and governance, fundraising and capital markets strategy, strategic advisory to the CEO, and clinical and scientific oversight, making it a pivotal position in the company's journey.
