Special Education Teacher | Autism Support | Manor, TX | $45–$50/Hour

You’ll turn each student’s IEP into individualized instruction and daily support that moves them toward greater academic achievement, communication, independence, and functional skills. Your work will directly shape how students with autism learn, develop, and participate in their school environment.

What You’ll Get

  • Monday–Friday schedule
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • On-site position

  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary education and support teams
What You’ll Do
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with IDEA and Texas special education requirements
  • Deliver individualized instruction in self-contained and inclusive classrooms
  • Modify curriculum, instructional materials, and assessments to meet student needs
  • Support academic, communication, social-emotional, functional, and daily living development
  • Implement Behavior Intervention Plans and positive behavior supports
  • Monitor student progress, collect data, and complete required documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, school psychologists, diagnosticians, and families
  • Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal meetings
  • Maintain a structured, safe, and supportive learning environment
  • Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and required district training
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Valid Texas Special Education Teaching Certification
  • Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and Texas special education regulations
  • Strong classroom management and instructional skills
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with autism or in a special education classroom
  • Experience implementing behavior intervention strategies
  • ESL or Bilingual certification
