Senior Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our client's team in South Houston. This role is instrumental in managing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, including recruitment, payroll and benefits administration, compliance, employee relations, and policy implementation. The ideal candidate is a proactive HR professional with strong organizational and interpersonal skills, a thorough understanding of employment law, and the ability to handle confidential matters with professionalism and discretion. Key Responsibilities: Manage and support daily HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, and employee relations. Administer HR policies and procedures and assist in maintaining the employee handbook. Conduct job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offer management. Support employee performance, development initiatives, and team-building efforts. Maintain organizational charts and HRIS records, and generate workforce reports as needed. Administer payroll, ensure data accuracy, and compile internal payroll reports. Oversee benefits programs including enrollment, claims support, FMLA, W/C, and open enrollment. Manage 401(k) administration including enrollments, changes, and compliance reporting. Track and maintain compliance with required trainings, licensure, and certifications. Conduct background checks and verify employment eligibility. Facilitate new hire orientation and support disciplinary and termination processes. Stay current with employment law updates, HR best practices, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications: 7+ years of progressive HR experience or a combination of education and experience in a similar role. Strong knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Proven experience in payroll, benefits administration, and talent acquisition. Proficiency with HRIS and talent management systems. Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. Preferred Skills: Experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and compliance. Strong analytical skills and ability to generate and interpret HR data and reports. Prior experience planning company events or employee engagement initiatives.
